Wenn die Mitbewohner ne neue Wohnwand kaufen, dann kann man den Sonntagnachmittag und Abend eigentlich vergessen. Und damit alles etwas schneller geht, hilft der liebe Tobi natürlich ;)

When your flatmates buy new furniture for the living room, saturday afternoon and evening are lost actually. So to speed up the construction process of course the lovely Tobi is helping out ;)

Seit 60 Jahren ist mein Herr Papa nun anwesend auf dieser Welt und das haben wir angemessen gefeiert. Das wir feiern, wusste er spät. Wer allerdings alles eingeladen war, wurde für ihn zur Überraschung erst an der Feier. Und man konnte sehen, dass uns diese Überraschungen gelungen waren und er sich sehr freute.

Fast 32 Jahre begleite ich ihn und meine Frau Mama nun und ich hatte eine tolle Woche bei ihnen zu Hause. Unten findet ihr ein paar Bilder von der Feier.


Since 60 years my father walks on this earth now and this was worth to celebrate it. He knew that we'll celebrate really late. Who will come and celebrate with him was a surprise. And it was successful as everybody could see in his face when person by person entered to the location.

For almost 32 years I'm joining him and my mom now and I had a wonderful week at their place again. Attached you'll find some pictures.

Day of German Unity

Der Tag der Deutschen Einheit. Mittlerweile seit 23 Jahren ein gemeinsames Deutschland und für mich hat dieses Ereignis das Tor zur Welt geöffnet. Wie sonst könnte ich in Zürich leben und arbeiten und die Welt bereisen. Ja, ich bin stolz Deutscher zu sein. Nicht auf alle Kapitel in der Geschichte, aber auf eine Nation die sich gegen den Faschismus entschieden hat und zu einem anerkannten Partner in der Welt entwickelt hat.

The Day of German Unity. Already since 23 years a united Germany and for me this event opened the door to the world. I live and work in Zürich and I can travel free around the world. Yes, I'm proud to be German. Not about all chapters of German history, but proud about a nation that moved away from fascism and is now a well accepter partner in the world.

"Unity and justice and freedom" since 23 years for an united Germany.

Sydney and Melbourne

Ich war in Australien zur Konferenz in Melbourne und 3 Tagen Urlaub in Sydney. Ich könnte mir wirklich vorstellen, dort zu leben auch wenn das Leben ähnlich teuer eventuell sogar teurer ist (in manchen Fällen) als in der Schweiz.

I've been in Australia for a conference in Melbourne and 3 days of vacation in Sydney. I could imagine to live there, even when it's equal or a bit more expansive (in some cases) than in Switzerland.
